Epistemology
Epistemology is the branch of philosophy that studies knowledge. In simple terms, it asks: How do we know what we know? What is the source or foundation of our knowledge or beliefs. This message is meant to reaffirm our epistemological confidence in the Word of God as the thing we stand on for knowledge, wisdom and our worldview.
Big Picture: The Tent Peg
There are many titles given to the Messiah in the Old Testament: Mighty Warrior, Cornerstone, Branch, Son of Man, Redeemer, and Deliverer, to name just a few. But have you ever considered one of the more obscure titles given to Him: the Tent Peg? This message explores that powerful and often-overlooked image.
I also highly recommend the book Gospel of the Skull Crusher by Joel Richardson, which I used as a resource for this sermon and others in the message series loosely titled Big Picture. You can find the book here:

More Than A Memory
When death comes to those we love, we have “more than a memory”, we have a hope. This message is about that hope: the resurrection of the dead, because He was resurrected from the dead, what Paul calls “a fact.”
The New Covenant. (How new is it?)
This message examines the four covenants given to Israel in the Old Testament, the fourth of which is the New Covenant. It explores the New Covenant in a way you may not have considered before.
Who’s the Aggressor?
This message asks a simple yet profound question: Who is the aggressor, the Church, or the “gates of hell”? The classic discourse of Matthew 16 is approached with a fresh perspective.
Just Do It…Embrace Humility.
This sermon from Pastor Andrew Runnels focuses on what we are to do when we are between the promise and fulfillment. Using David’s life as a lesson, we can see that the journey to receiving fulfillment is not as simple as making things happen, but instead a commitment to repent when we stray from dependence on God.
Christmas 25’
This Christmas message explores the birth of Christ through the lens of His home town Nazareth. It’s more than just His history, it’s Bible prophesy hiding in plain sight.
Big Picture: The Father of Faith
Abram (Abraham) is known as the father of our faith. He believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness. But what exactly did he believe? Was it merely what God would do in his own future, or did he recognize how God was using him to fulfill a prophecy from the past? This sermon explores the true nature of Abraham’s faith and what it was ultimately all about.
Big Picture: A Flood, A Covenant, and Shem.
This sermon walks us through the flood and the righteous line from Noah to Shem to Abram. Along the way, we see God establish a covenant, the first mention of a covenant in Scripture, and we continue tracing the seed line that will ultimately bring forth the One who will crush the serpent’s skull.
Big Picture: Cain and Abel
This sermon examines the firstborn children of Adam and Eve and what their story reveals about the righteous and unrighteous seed lines, the nature of sin, and how the apostle John used this account to instruct the early church.
